Dear Jourdan,

In this time of near economic crisis, many college graduates are not finding jobs in their preferred career, but in simply a job that has only the basics of what they want to do long term. My brother-in-law is a classic example of this. He has gone to college, hoping to get into computer design, but in the meantime his is working full time at an internet filter company. We all ideally want to get that “dream career” right out of the gates, but it may not be possible.

I propose to write an article dealing with how to get the career you want while working full time in a job. Specifically focusing on what people can do during their lunch break. For example, they can make phone calls, update their resumes, or have lunch meetings with other professionals. This article can include tips for the freelancer and the person trying to become financially independent while trapped in the corporate rat race. I can interview individuals that have been using or have used some of these same ideas such as Mr. Andrew Maunder, Mr. Keith Larsen, and possible other sources include Mr. Taylor Sinquefield , Mr. Mike Bissutti, Mrs. LeAnna Hunn, or Mrs. Martha Hunn. Also, if any one knows anyone else, then their input would be greatly appreciated.

I expect that my article may be ½ to ¾ of a page long with a possible side bar. It will be a feature article.

Thank you,
April V. Madsen

Also, could include productive ways to network in a short amount of time.
